Episode 28: We Made It! AKA This Team Just Hates The Regular Season.

The marathon is finally over. All 82 games of the regular season have been played, Austin Reaves played in all 82 and since Evan forgot to mention that on the pod he's mentioning it here now. Congrats Austin! You're and Ironman. We've locked up no lower than the 8 seed, and will play Denver if we win the Play-in Game and get the 7 seed. Episode 27: My Complaining Did Not Go Unheard ByThe Basketball Gods.

Finally we got a week of only wins to talk about. It was only three games, but it still counts. Don't take this away from me! The Lakers do still have an outside shot at the 6 seed. They just had a 5-1 road trip. Don't get your hopes up, but things are trending upwards.

Episode 26: Just When You Thought It Might Be Safe To Get Your Hopes Up

The Lakers almost had their longest winning streak under Darvin Ham's tenure, but of course we can't have nice things around here. Evan was hoping for just one week this season to recap only wins. How foolish of him. Pack a bowl and join him as he lets you know what happened this week, and helps you cope with all the mediocrity.

Episode 25: Keeping Those Expectations Low

We're on the home stretch and Evan is doing his best to not get his expectations too high. It's easier this way. Ham is still as frustrating as ever, and the players are still letting us know about it. Evan also discusses why so many NBA fans hate basketball. Pack a bowl, and join him as he tries to make sense of what we have left of this season.

Episode 24: This Team Has Cartoon Amnesia

The Lakers get hit on the head and forget who they are and then get hit on the head again, and seem to remember. I've seen this sort of thing before. It was everywhere in my childhood. The dreaded cartoon amnesia trope. Let's hope this stops before the playoffs start. This rollercoaster is giving us all whiplash, at this point. Pack a bowl, and join Evan as he tries to make sense of all this.

Episode 23: Uncomfortably Numb

This team is still mediocre, and Darvin Ham is still the biggest reason why. Evan is uncomfortably numb about all of this. He doesn't like it, but there isn't shit he can do about it either. His expectations have been completely surrendered, at this point. Which has been kind of freeing. Pack a bowl, and join Evan as he does his best to cope with the disappointment.

Episode 22: Back To The Grind

The All Star Break is over, and now crunch time begins for the season. Evan's had a rough week, after feeling like he might have turned a corner, and the Lakers seem to be keeping the same pace. They're a match made in heaven. Two beautiful messes stumbling in the dark trying to figure shit out. Pack a bowl and join him, but leave your bullshit at the door.
 
P.S.- He knows he doesn't fit in anywhere, you don't need to remind him.

Episode 21: An All Star Break In The Clouds

The intervention seems to be working, and just in time. A much needed All Star Break in the clouds has arrived. Things have improved slightly and are trending upwards. Hopefully Ham doesn't fuck up the good thing we've got going. Either way its time to rest and take a deep breath for All Star Weekend. Pack a bowl, and listen to Evan ramble on and lose his train of thought.

Episode 20: Hell Week

The trade deadline has finally passed. We made it!!! Lakers Nation is not happy as a whole, but it doesn't matter because now it's "check ball" time. The Lakers stood pat and made no trades, in the hopes of building for the future. The Kobe statue unveiling was beautiful, but the day was still filled with lots of emotions. Pack a bowl, and join Evan as he breaks it all down for you. There might be a tiny light at the end of the tunnel.

Episode 19: A Pain Sandwich Made With Joy Bread

The Jekyll and Hyde nature of this team continues to frustrate all of us. From Joy to pain and back again, they just keep jerking us back and forth. There may be a tiny of sliver of hope on the horizon though. Grab a seat, and pack a bowl as Evan smokes with you and breaks it all down.
